Clare was born on January 1, 1931, to Dr. Albert and Magdalene Bruecken. She grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, where she met her future husband, James T. McFadden. Clare was baptized and raised Catholic. She performed non-denominational Christian work in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and several locations worldwide. She traveled with her husband, Jim to Ireland, Great Britain, the Middle East, Australia, and the Philippines. They moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, in 1986, where they retired.
Clare is survived by six sons, Mark, Mike (Lisa), Tim, Tom (Holli), Peter and Paul (Leslie). In addition, she had seven grandchildren Jacob, Hannah, Kathleen, Cole, Patrick, Michael, Jake and Wyatt and 2 great grandchildren, Quinn and Mae. Clare will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all the people she counseled and helped over the years.
A funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:30 AM Friday April 5, 2024 at St. John XXIiI Catholic Church which is located at 1220 University Ave. in Fort Collins, Colorado 80521.
