

Charlotte M. Nason of Fort Collins passed away on September 3, 2008. Charlotte was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to Milton and Ingri Trannstrom McChesney. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota College of Journalism. In 1941, she married George L. Nason, II in Pensacola, FL. Charlotte lived in St. Paul, MN, Sun City West, AZ and lived for 9 ½ years in Colorado.After graduation from college, Charlotte was a journalist for the Lindstrom, Minnesota newspaper. She worked in publicity at the Curtis Hotel in Minneapolis. During World War II, she worked for the American Red Cross while her husband, George, was in Europe serving with the 8th Air Force.Charlotte belonged to the P.E.O., the United Methodist Women and Kappa Delta Sorority. In her earlier years, she liked to ski and play tennis, and until 10 years ago, she also was an avid bridge player.Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, George. She is survived by her sons, Steven (Kay) Nason of Ft. Collins and Douglas Nason of Ft. Collins; daughter, Mary (Michael) Paavola of Ft. Collins; sister Mary McChesney of Laguna Woods, CA; many cousins and friends.Memorial contributions may be made to you local chapter of the American Red Cross Disaster Relief, your local Humane Society or HABIC (Human-Animal Bond in Colorado) Organization of CSU in Ft.
