Claude Melton Coskrey III

With heavy hearts, I, Kate Coskrey, announce the passing of my beloved husband, Claude Melton Coskrey, III, on May 8, 2025, at the age of 52. Claude was born on November 2, 1972, in Florence, South Carolina, and his light touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Claude was a man who never met a stranger. His warmth, humor, and genuine kindness left an indelible mark on all who crossed his path. He had a remarkable ability to make people feel heard, seen, and valued — a rare gift that made him beloved to friends, family, and even those who knew him for just a moment. His generosity extended far beyond words, and his heart was as big as the smile he always wore.

As a devoted husband and father, Claude's love for Emily (20), Jacob (17), and Nora (4) was boundless. He was the steady hand to guide, the playful spirit to laugh with, and the protector who made his children feel safe and cherished every day of their lives. Claude’s legacy is carried forward in their hearts.

In his life, he was passionate about science and botany, and his joy for his children. He found peace in Grand Lake, Colorado. Those who knew him best will remember his zest for life, his quick wit, and his deep compassion.

A private gathering to honor his life and legacy will take place at a later time. While his absence leaves an unfillable void, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will forever live on in the many lives he touched.
