Connie Rykowski

She was born in Dickinson, ND on December 23rd, 1949 to Wilbert and Elise (Sayler) Ulmer and was the third oldest of 13 children. She graduated from Dickinson High School in 1967 and then went on to become a CNA, attending school in Williston, ND. Connie married Ken Rykowski on September 7th, 1968. They traveled and lived in many places before settling in Fort Collins where they had their two sons, Bryan in 1971 and Troy in 1974. Connie spent the majority of her life caring for others. She worked at several nursing homes around town and also in home health care.

She is preceded in death by her parents Wilbert and Elise Ulmer; siblings Ronald Ulmer, Gerald Ulmer, Michael Ulmer, and Raynae Heinle-Duttenhefer. She is survived by her husband Ken; sons Bryan (Audrey) and Troy (Alicia); grandchildren: Erika (Joseph) Robinson, Ashley, Andrew and Jayden; siblings: Donna (Gere) Dewilwer of Scottsdale, Ariz., Diane (Eugene) Duttenhefer of Dodge, ND, Dennis (Barb) Ulmer of Dickinson, ND, Lyle Ulmer of Fargo, ND, Audrey Cherney of Dilworth, MN, Randy (Artis) Ulmer of Dickinson, ND, Gayle Ulmer of Dickinson, ND, and Tammy Ulmer of Valley City, ND.

Connie and Ken will be placed to eternal rest together at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Fort Collins on Saturday, June 15th, 2024 at 1pm.
