Craig M. Bartholomew

Craig ""Bart"" Bartholomew passed peacefully at home on May 24, 2011. Born May 31, 1951 to Ladd and Jean Mary Bartholomew in St. Johns, Michigan he graduated from St. Johns High School in 1969 as a standout athlete. Bart joined the United States Marines in 1969 and served in Vietnam. He later moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado where he met Kim Ilene Morrison, later marrying on September 21, 1978. He took a job as an engineer with Sprint Telecommunications, working for them until 2009. During his time in Ft. Collins he actively participated as a soccer coach and referee within the local community. He enjoyed fishing, camping, riding motorcycles, traveling, and the time spent playing with his grandchildren.Bart is survived by his wife of 32 years, and best friend, Kim; sons, Levi Bartholomew of Westminster, Colorado and Myles Bartholomew of Ft. Collins, Colorado; 6 grandchildren, Kaleb, Ethan, Bryanna, Donovan, Dalton, and Vitorio; sister, Val Matice of Florida; brother Ken Bartholomew of Delaware; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother William Bartholomew of Michigan.A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, June 10, 2011 at St. Alban's Church in Windsor, Colorado.In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S Hwy 287, Fort Collins, CO 80525, which will then be donated in Bart's name to Pathway's Hospice of Northern Colorado and Run for the Wall veteran's organization.
