Dale Allen Bonar, 84, of Loveland, Colorado, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018. He was born on August 3, 1934, in Churubusco, Indiana, to Arthur and Edith (Stroh) Bonar. He was the sixth of eight children.
He was married to Judy (Anderson) Bonar, for 49 years. She proceeded him in death in January 2018.
Dale graduated from Albion High School in 1952. Dale enlisted in the Air Force at the height of the Korean War and served for 22 years. While in the Air Force he traveled intensively in Europe, Africa, and the Far East. His work was mainly in precision equipment calibration laboratory. He was a licensed radio isotope handler along with other disciplines with AIC. He did possess a First-Class Fee License. After his retirement from the Air Force, he accepted employment from AIMS Community College where he worked for another 22 years. His first task with the college was to design and install a television distribution system that after 40 years is still in service.
Dale was kind hearted, patient man, and always had a twinkle in his eyes. He was full of infinite wisdom. He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather who loved his wife, children, and grandchildren very much.
He is survived by his two daughters, Anneke (Chris) Beard and Monique (Kevin) Donner and four grandchildren, Mylie and Skylar Beard, Teagan and Brynn Donner. Survived also by his brothers JC (Judy) Bonar, Stanley (Sue) Bonar, and Stephen “Mike” (Stacy) Bonar and several nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by his father and mother, four sisters: Phyllis Carter, Joyce Thomas, Barbara Leatherman, and Louise Bonar.
Service will be held 10 am, Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Resthaven Funeral Home, Fort Collins, Colorado. Visitation will occur prior to service starting at 9am with reception to follow service.
