Danny Ortiz, 57, of Ft. Collins passed away peacefully in his home on October 15, 2019. Danny was born on January 7, 1962 in Uvalde, Texas, but was raised in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. He later moved to Fort Collins in 1986 and spent the remaining years of his life here.
Aside from being manager at a drywall company, Danny LOVED riding his Harley. Taking a mountain motorcycle ride was one of his favorite things to do. His family and friends were a huge part of Danny’s life…and he really enjoyed the company of them if food was involved, especially Mexican food!. Danny always carried a soft spot in his heart for his mother, Lili Garza, he loved her so much!
He is survived by his mother, Lili Garza; brothers, Chavel Ortiz Jr., Raul Ortiz, Roberto Ortiz, and Johnnie Ortiz; sisters, Olga Montiel, Ramona (Tony) Jalomo, and Margie Duncan; Aunt, Nate Gonzales; and many nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Chavel-Isabel Ortiz in 2017; brother in laws, Bobby Duncan in 2014 and Freddy Montiel in 2019; nephew, Robert Bentz in 2015; and niece, Michelle Gunhammer in 2016.
Danny was truly loved, and will very much be missed.
