

David Elden Koehler of Milliken, Colorado, passed away on June 12, 2024, at age 80. He was born on December 4, 1943, in Columbus, OH, weighing only 3 lbs. He was the oldest of two sons. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1966 and spent a year in Thailand before being stationed at Lowry Air Force base in Denver in 1968.
Dave met Donna in Denver in 1969 and they were married April 26, 1970. The couple was married for 54 years and have 3 children together, Andy Koehler (spouse Lindsey Gardner), Jaime Koehler Blanchard (spouse Paul Blanchard), and Mindy Gratny (spouse Cody Gratny). They have six grandchildren: Liam, Roma and Soren Gratny, Mazzy Koehler, and Daniel and Eric Gardner. Dave’s brother, Jeff Koehler, lives with his wife Carole in Riverside, CA. His cousin, Tom Koehler, lives with his wife Sharon in Arizona. Dave was preceded in death by his father and mother, Elden and Betty Koehler.
Dave graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in marketing in 1972 and worked in sales until he started his own manufacturer’s rep business in 1982, which he ran for 42 years. He loved the work he did so much that he never retired. Over the years as a sales rep, Dave received numerous top sales awards from his principals. He loved going camping with his family, playing pinochle with lifelong friends from Mead, and going to monthly dinners or outings with friends from Faith Community Lutheran Church for 25 years. He also loved watching his kids and grandkids participate in their athletic, musical and other activities.
Upon his graduation from CSU, Dave presented Donna with a framed Certificate for her “PHT” (Puttin’ Hubby Through).
