Donald "Donie" Ungerman

Donald (Donie) Ungerman left his earthly home on July 23, 2021. He has gone to join his Grandparents Sally, Shirlee, and Peter. They will take good care of our beloved son. Donie loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time exploring, hiking, camping, dirt biking, snowboarding, and taking photographs. He often had his incredible photos framed and gave them as gifts. His incredible eye for the beauty in life will live on in those photos for decades to come. Donie always had his camera with him in hopes of capturing that one perfect moment, and he succeeded in capturing many. His eye for the beauty in this world, is a gift that will be missed. He had a playful, energetic personality; a good-hearted nature, and a bright smile that lit up every room he entered. Donie is survived by in his own words, “My angelic mother” Cindy Ungerman and her fiancée Steve Kellums; his sister Cassandra Ungerman, his father Pete Ungerman, and his stepmother Kelly Ungerman; uncles, aunts, cousins, step grandparents, stepbrothers and stepsisters. He had an extended family who all loved him dearly. His beloved dog Elara who loved to hike, run, ride in the truck, and camp with him is also wondering where her best friend might be and is missing him. Elara will hopefully find comfort living amongst Donie’s surviving relatives. Peace be found to you, our beloved son and brother. You will be greatly missed by many. A Celebration of Life was held on Thursday, August 5th, 2021 at 10:00 am at Timberline Church in Fort Collins, CO, in the South Auditorium. Following the service, there was a Gathering of Family & Friends. Thank you to all those who were able to attend and share in this time of fellowship and remembrance.
