

Beloved as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Donna's family was truly blessed to have her for such a long and meaningful time. Her memory will live on in all the lives she touched.
Born at home on May 15th, 1929, Donna was daughter of George and Margaret Katherine (Herbst) Uhrich. Her family lived on a farm near Kelim, Colorado and moved to eastern Colorado when Donna was young. She graduated from Greeley High School in 1947.
On October 3rd, 1948, Donna married Dean Beitler, at the Presbyterian Church in Strasburg, Colorado. Dean and Donna were blessed with five beautiful children. They moved to Loveland, Colorado in 1962 where they raised their family.
A devoted and hardworking mother, Donna raised her children with patience, kindness, and enduring love. She was a dedicated homemaker, always putting the needs of her family first. She worked Hewlett-Packard, at various other jobs, and as a bookkeeper. She was a great cook and always kept vegetable garden. She cherished family reunions and gatherings with extended loved ones. Donna liked to read and loved to learn new things. She was intelligent and held a deep appreciation for knowledge and growth. She was a believer in women’s rights. Known for her strong singing voice, Donna sang at weddings and funerals, directed church choirs at 1st United Presbyterian Church in Loveland, and was a member of Cadman Music Club in Loveland and the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia (AHSGR) Northern Colorado Chapter. Donna was pleasant, humble, quiet, soft-spoken, and deeply dedicated. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by four children, Lyn A. Volz and husband Ed, Cass L. Beitler and wife Judy, Gerry V. Beitler and wife Diana, and Tina L. Harrison; grandchildren Nicholas, Adriana, Valerie, Becky, Krista, John, Travis, Shawna, Jarrod, Ryan, and Mikayla; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband Dean W. Beitler, daughter Jody C. Beitler, grandson (Cass’s son) Matthew Beitler, her parents, her brothers Virgil Uhrich and Harlan Uhrich, and sisters Vonda Smith and Roselyn Nordloh.
