

Douglas Gerald Iseman, aged 87, passed away on January 6, 2025, in Windsor, CO at the Columbine Commons skilled nursing facility after a stay in Banner Hospital. He is a longtime resident of Denver, CO and moved to Fort Collins, CO in July 2021, to be closer to his daughter due to his health. He was born January 27, 1937, to Russell Wilbur Iseman and Evelyn Irene Latimer Iseman in Holdrege, NE. He grew up in a close-knit family.
Growing up he had a paper route. In high school he worked for O.P. Skaggs grocery store, and then he worked and retired from the BNSF railroad after 45 years, and his last job was delivering papers for the Denver Post.
He leaves behind a loving and caring family: his wife, Nancy, of 44 ½ years of marriage; his son, John Iseman of Denver, CO; his daughter, Cathryne (Tyler) Preston of Fort Collins, CO; two grandchildren, Andrew Preston and Lily Preston of Fort Collins, CO; siblings, Betty Wood of Lincoln, NE, and Janet Middleton of Radcliff, KY; along with many nieces and nephews and their families.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Iseman and Evelyn Latimer Iseman; his sister, Patricia Lewis, exactly two months prior to his death; and brother-in-law, Bruce Wood.
He served in the Navy from 1955-1959. He attended McCook Junior College and the University of Colorado-Denver extension.
He played football in high school. He followed the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Wyoming Cowboys, Colorado Buffaloes, Colorado Rams, and the Denver Broncos. He also liked the Denver Nuggets basketball.
He loved to fish, especially catfish which he dearly loved to eat also. He enjoyed building and fixing things. He enjoyed playing cards, especially Canasta, Rook, Rummy and Hearts. He was very fond of jazz music, and would listen to his jazz station often.
He was a devoted, loving, and caring husband and father. He will be greatly missed, especially by his family.
A viewing for the family will be at Allnutt Funeral Service on Drake Road in Fort Collins. After cremation, please join the family for a Graveside Service with full military honors on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 12 pm at Resthaven Memory Gardens (8426 S. Hwy. 287, Fort Collins, CO 80525).
