Earl “Ray” Mueller 73 years old of Windsor, CO passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones on January 19, 2021 after having complications of a stroke. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, January 30th at 1:00 p.m. at Allnutt Funeral Service – Drake Road Chapel, 650 W. Drake Road, Fort Collins, CO. Cremation will be completed.
Ray Mueller was born on April 5, 1947 in Esserville, VA, the son of Betty Ray Rule and Earl Ray Gillenwater. His mother remarried Robert Mueller who adopted Ray in 1954.
He graduated from Burlington High School in Burlington, WI in 1966 and went on to study at Wisconsin State University La-Cross. He later enlisted in the United States Air Force where he honorably served 23 years and retired as a decorated Master Sergeant.
During his time in the Air Force, he met and married Bonnie Jean Busch on December 18, 1972 in Abilene, TX and has two children Justin and Lynette. After his military service he worked for Poudre School District for 16 years as the Training Supervisor of Transportation and retired at the age of 63.
Ray was passionate about helping others, always positive and optimistic about life. He enjoyed traveling, family outings, building and flying model air planes, playing golf, and was an avid bowler.
Ray was a devoted family man, his family meant more to him than anything else. Anyone who knew Ray knew that he was the most loving and giving man, father, husband, and grandfather a family could ask for. He will be greatly missed.
When his wife Bonnie passed in 2004, Ray remarried Trudy Schindewolf in 2007. He is survived by his second wife Trudy Schindewolf Mueller; his son Justin Mueller and wife Lois and their two daughters Bailey and Bella; his daughter Lynette Place and husband Jed; and his Sister Linda Wolf.
