Edna Mae Korth

Edna was born and raised in Loveland, Colorado as was her mother. It was an idyllic time for her.

Growing up on a farm she learned to love plants at an early age and loved watching them thrive and grow, which continued her whole life. Every house she moved to, she had beautiful gardens that she enjoyed tending.The love of growing plants developed into her dividing and potting them up to share with friends and neighbors and also to raise money to benefit organizations, like 1st Presbyterian Church in Berthoud and Namaqua Chapter DAR in Loveland.

After graduating high school from Loveland High (now Bill Reed Middle School), she attended Beauty School in Denver. She also obtained her Pilots License and loved taking family and friends on flights around the state.

Her love of writing lead her to write newsy letters to the "Boys" in the service during WWII.

One such soldier ended up being her husband of 63 years, Bob Korth.

Raising three children: Dennis (Carol), David (Kathy) and Danette (Bill) and being involved in all their activities too, most of the time as a family. Whether camping, hiking, Scouting or school projects mom was a big part of all of them. It didn't stop with just her kids, she loved being included in her grand childrens lives; Casie (Ben), Jason (Michelle), Adam (Jen), Scott, Allison and Jessica, and being involved with their activities too. But wait there's more: her great grandchildren; Emma, Ashley, Drake, Tyler and Zach. She so much enjoyed attending their concerts, sports events and helping them in anyway she could. She loved her hugs and snuggles. Mom's family was an important part of her life that she prayed daily for.

Her and Bob traveled the world together and had many interesting adventures, meeting life long friends that she held dear to her. She will be missed wide and far by many.

Her memorial service is June 24, 2022 at the First Presbyterian Church, 531 8th St, Berthoud, CO at 11AM.
