Rusty grew up as a child on a in Northeast Nebraska. Through this time he developed the characteristics of ethics, morals and decency that guided him his entire life. He passed these values on to his children.
He spent many enjoyable years on the farm and never forgot the enjoyment of working with his hands and creating/fixing things.
Many years were spent working for the Coors porcelain plant in Golden. Started out as a line worker and worked his way up to shipping supervisor. Always striving for the best he could be.
Moving to Fort Collins in 1968 he became self-employed as an insurance salesman. He spent most of this time working in the rural areas of Eastern Colorado and Western Nebraska. A perfect complement for his rural upbringing.
Growing up during the Great Depression and World War II gave him a sense of the frailty of life and circumstances.
A simple but also complicated man he supported his children and bride of 74 years in every way he could while still instilling in them a sense of independence.
He will be greatly missed by his family, children: Peggy Geib (Dick) (Oklahoma City); Dave Siefken (Ann) (Denver); Jim Siefken (Gail)(Windsor); grandchildren: Betsy Jones (Tommy)(Guthrie, Oklahoma); Tim Geib (jenny)(Edmond, Oklahoma); Kendra Kerley (Shaun) (Arcadia, Oklahoma): and 5 great grandchildren.
We were blessed to inherit his values and wisdom and he will be missed but not forgotten.
