She was born February 27, 1944, in Gainesville, MO, to the late Lewis and Marie Elliott. She was preceded in death by her siblings Lewis Jr., Clarence, Ed, Ray, Mathew, VJ, Coyetta, Lois, and Bertha. Esther is survived by her children, Charles Bishop, Debra Bishop, and Cindy Hernandez; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She worked for Teledyne Water Pik in Fort Collins and Loveland for 35 years and later for Walmart for 17 years. During her time at Teledyne, she played several seasons on the women's softball team and was on the company bowling team. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching NASCAR, and cheering for the Broncos.
Services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Resthaven Funeral Home and Memory Gardens in Fort Collins. Viewing will begin at 12pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 1pm, and Graveside Service immediately after.
