Eunice was born on September 27, 1923, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to Carroll and Hazel (Cunningham) Fuller. She graduated from Oshkosh State Teacher’s College in 1943 and later taught in one-room schools in rural Wisconsin.
On November 3, 1945, she married Ralph E. Wendt, shortly after he returned from service in WWII. They initially had a dairy farm and later operated a service station near Oshkosh. The couple happily welcomed three daughters into their family, Betty, Judy and Mary.
In 1962, the family moved to Mesa, Arizona, where Eunice worked as a lab technician for Motorola until her retirement. The couple then moved to Strawberry, Arizona, where they lived for two years before moving to Colorado in 1981. They settled in Loveland in 1985, where Eunice lived until 2026.
Throughout the years, Eunice was involved in 4-H clubs, girl scouts, county extension service, Sunday school teaching and Bible study groups. Besides being with her family, Eunice enjoyed gardening, crafts, painting, playing cards, bowling, camping, and traveling.
She loved the Lord and was always active in church. Eunice attended Faith Evangelical Free church in Fort Collins before moving to Good Samaritan Loveland Village, where she attended their on-site chapel.
Eunice is survived by two daughters, Judy Caldwell of Wellington, Colorado, and Mary Cancil and her husband, Allan Cancil, of Las Cruces, New Mexico; one grandson, Mason Taggart of Gardendale, Alabama; three great grandchildren; and two brothers, Dick and Wesley Fuller.
Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her daughter, Betty Sobotka; brothers John, Warren, Elwin and Bill; and sisters Marge Fuller and Lois Kolb.
A memorial will be held at Good Samaritan Loveland Village on Wednesday, July 1st at 1:00 p.m.
