Evelyn was born in Rochester, NY on December 23, 1926 to her parents Walter and Eva Narrie. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1944 and continued on to Rochester Business Institute where she graduated with a medical secretary training diploma. She worked for Atomic Energy Commission as a secretary to the Head of the Division of Industrial Hygiene, Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology from 1945-1951. It was there that she met the love of her life, Paul Frank in 1948. They married April 28, 1951 and moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for one year. In 1952 they returned to New York and settled in Henrietta to raise their six children. In 1969, she went back to work for John Calvin Presbyterian Church in Rochester until August of 1976 when her and Paul relocated with Kodak to Ft. Collins, Colorado.
Fort Collins was where her family began to grow again. When she wasn't busy with family, you could find her volunteering at Poudre Valley Hospital at the info desk, Fort Collins Service League, and Foothills Gateway. By 1995, she had been blessed with 15 grandchildren. In 2012, she lost her true love to a tough battle with cancer. She continued to live her life around the family they created together, which was always her favorite thing to do.
She now leaves behind her 6 children, Eric (Kelly) Frank, Greg (Karen) Frank, Mark (Melinda) Frank, Marsha (Steve) Rosa, Kristen (Luis) Amoros, and Lisa Frandsen, 15 grandchildren, Courtney (Joseph) Von Tersch, Shelby (Mike) Dell, Jamison (Caitlin) Amoros, Kyle (Jackie) Rosa, Christopher (Kristin) Rosa, Sydney (Nick) Piedmont, Nikolette Amoros, Paige Rosa, Nick Frank, Stephanie (Eli) Bell, Brooke Rosa, Dominic Martinez, Jessica Frank, Justin Frank and Taylor Frandsen, 5 great grandchildren, Madison, Miles and Simon Von Tersch, Vida Piedmont, Keiran Amoros and three on the way.
Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her world revolved around her family. She was feisty spirited and fiercely loyal to all that she held dear. She always made her home the center for any celebration, constantly filled with love, laughter and witty banter.
So we raise a glass of White Zinfandel and finish a puzzle in memory of the family matriarch until the very end, Evelyn Frank.
