

Forrest Wade Sanders passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 9, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a legacy of love, service, and devotion to family.
Forrest proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 24 years. During his military career, he traveled the world, experiencing remarkable places and adventures while faithfully serving his nation. Through it all, he remained dedicated to raising a wonderful family, who were always the center of his life.
Following his retirement from the Air Force, Forrest began a second career with TRW, where he worked until his retirement. He was known for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and unwavering commitment to providing for those he loved.
In his free time, Forrest enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trying his luck at the casinos. While he appreciated these hobbies, nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with his family. He especially treasured every moment with his grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild, creating memories that will be lovingly remembered for generations.
Forrest is survived by his three children, Theresa Stokes, Patrick Sanders, and John Sanders; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss his kindness, wisdom, and steady presence.
Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we take comfort in knowing that Forrest lived a full and meaningful life, marked by service, hard work, and an enduring love for his family. His memory will continue to live on in the stories we share, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely.
A memorial service celebrating Forrest’s life will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026) at 2:00 p.m. at Allnutt Funeral Service, 650 W. Drake Rd. Fort Collins, CO 80526. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor his life, share memories, and celebrate the remarkable man he was.
