George Louis Collins Houle

George Louis Collins Houle of Greeley, Colorado passed away September 7, 2017, in his home. George was born on February 23, 1946 in Fort Totten, North Dakota to Joe and Julia Houle. He grew up in Devils Lake, North Dakota being the oldest of seven children. In 1970, he married the love of his life, Shannon Rose and together they had two children, Lisa Marie and Joseph Louis Collins. In 1976, George moved his family to Loveland, Colorado where he worked as an HVAC Technician at Hewlett-Packard for 24 years. He was a kind and quiet man who enjoyed woodworking including creating pens, keychains and various other trinkets. He enjoyed fishing and hunting during his younger years. His favorite past times were playing Call of Duty on his XBox and spending time with his family.

George is survived by his wife, Shannon; daughter Lisa Marie Godwin (Daniel); and son Joe Houle. He had 4 granddaughters, Deviny 7, Abigail 11, Elizabeth 10 and Kaylan Deal (Dennis); great-granddaughter, Sadie 11 months. He is also survived by two sisters, Betty and Yvonne, and brother, Donald, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon and Johnny and a sister, Beverly, his parents and his favorite Aunt Ruby.
