

Born in Rocky Ford, CO on December 18, 1961, Greg was the son of the late Dr. Larry and Joan (Druley) Vibber. Before enlisting in the Army in 1989 he attended Fowler High School, starring in a range of varsity sports, earning him a sports scholarship to attend college and later returning to Metropolitan State University in Denver where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. His accomplished 24 year military career took him around the world, leading thousands of soldiers and earning him over 16 awards and medals, including three Bronze Stars.
Greg loved exploring the world through travel and had a deep commitment to his country through his military career. He also enjoyed college football, family, debates, gardening, adventures with his dogs, and golf.
He is survived by his loving partner, Cindy Eversole, former wife, Elora Vibber, son, Alex Vibber (Travis Taylor), sister Leslie Clemensen (Chris), foster sister Denise Oxley (Derek), nieces Lindsey Clemensen and Rachel Gall, and beloved canine companions, General and Zoey. He is preceded in death by parents Dr. Larry and Joan Vibber and niece, Meredith Clemensen.
A memorial service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, where Greg was a member, in Loveland, CO on Tuesday, November 4th beginning at 9am with military honors conducted by the local VFW chapter, followed by a burial at Fowler Cemetery in Fowler, CO with full military honors. A gathering will follow at Cottonwood Links Golf Club in Fowler. Flowers may be sent to Immanuel Lutheran Church in advance of Greg’s service.
