Gwen Lee Pedersen
October 9, 1937 – October 3, 2021
Gwen Pedersen went to be with the Lord at the age of 83 on October 3, 2021. She said good-bye peacefully in her home surrounded by family.
She was born in Pocatello, Idaho, was the daughter of Anne and Harry Martin, and had one brother, Robert Martin. Gwen graduated from Pocatello High School in 1955 and attended one year at Idaho State College. In addition, she worked with insurance at the Idaho Farm Bureau.
She was the beloved wife of 62 years to Dennis Pedersen. They were married in Sheridan Montana on September 4th, 1960 and honeymooned in Glacier National Park. As a navy wife, Gwen’s travels included stays in Long Beach California, Norfolk and Great Bridge, Virginia, Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines, and Pensacola, Florida. After leaving the navy life in 1969, they settled in Denver Colorado for 22 years. Subsequently, they moved to Fort Collins, Colorado where they retired.
Raising a family was very important to Gwen. She was the loving mother of Cherie Pedersen, Marcia Pedersen, and Michael Pedersen, and the proud grandmother of Adam and Jack Pedersen. Gwen enjoyed life. She loved to go camping and traveling. She liked sewing clothes for her children, making holidays special, and doing crafts and puzzles. But playing games with the family was her favorite activity.
Visitation at Allnutt Drake Chapel on Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 5-6pm. Interment and Graveside Service on Monday, October 11, 2021, 12pm, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
