Gwendolyn Stephens

She is preceeded in death by her parents, William and Eula Sartin. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Rev. Richard Stephens; two sons, Roger Lynn Stephens of Ovilla, Texas, Terry Lee Stephens of Winterport, Maine; and daughter, Beverly Ruth Stephens Hanawalt of Fort Collins, CO; one brother, Robert D'Wayne Sartin of Camino, California; two sisters, Carol Jayne Johnson of Venice, Florida, Sharon Ann Gerald of Stanton, Texas; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

She was a devoted, beloved wife and mother. She considered her family as her greatest calling and responsibility. She was a loyal helpmate to her husband in his pastoral ministry, often leading women's groups in the various churches he pastored. She was also very involved in the area of Christian education, having taught high school teens and college age students for over 30 years.
