Helen Doris Donovan

Helen Doris Donovan, 92, of Loveland passed away on November 2, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Village in Loveland.She was born on August 27, 1916 in Buffalo, NY to Arthur and Elizabeth (Hawkins) Schmidt. She graduated from Riverside High School in Buffalo, NY.Helen married James Donovan on Nov 29, 1941 in Buffalo, NY. He died in 1984. She worked as an administrative assistant at the University of Buffalo for many years. They lived in Buffalo until moving to Fort Collins in 1978 after retirement. In January 2006 she moved to Loveland. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was very active as a volunteer there. She was also a Lady Elk and enjoyed shopping, ceramics, and loved to read.She is survived by three sons, Robert Donovan of Fort Collins, CO, William (Marilyn) Donovan of Gas Port, NY and Thomas (Carol) Donovan of Hamburg, NY. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a daughter-in-law, Joan Donovan. There will be a Memorial Mass 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 300 W.
