To the Harras family,I'm sorry to hear about Helen's passing. She was the greatest lady anyone could know. Over the years I often thought about her & Pete. They had each other & a wonderful family who loved them. They are together again & I'm sure Helen is keeping the critters plump! You'll be missed by many.

I'm sorry to hear about Helen's passing and I want to extend my deepest condolences to the whole family, it is hard to imagine what you must be going through in losing one of the strongest connection in your life and with this loss comes so many layers of heartache.  I am so, so sorry.   I'll never forget her as she was always a pillar of support and a powerhouse of love, energy and laughter, I will always remember her sweet smile, her caring and humorous nature and all the great advice she gave to me over the years, I was blessed with the opportunity of knowing you and your mother and I know heaven just received one of its most special angels.   She was a wonderful lady, beautiful inside and out and everyone who knew her loved her.  Her children, grandchildren and family were her pride and joy, it was always apparent that you meant the world to her as she spoke about you and your relationships with utmost love and affection.   

You are a reflection of your mother in the way you treat people with respect and empathy, not to mention the way you make each person feel loved.  Let your sorrow be a bridge not a barrier to the people who love and care for you.  The deep influence she had on all, both human and animal,  who were fortunate to have known her and loved her and she remains in that love of family and in the warm embrace of friends.  Helen was truly a splendid woman and will be deeply missed!   Words, however kind, can't mend your heartache, as the love and support of a mother can never be replaced.  It is at times like these when it is difficult to see all the love that surrounds you,  and want you to know that we, and so many others, share in your grief and are thinking of you and extend deepest sympathy with hope that these words comfort you on the loss of your mother.  however I encourage you to reach out and please know my heart is open to giving you anything you might need during this time of incredible loss.  

So many accomplishments, so very many successes, a wealth of hopes and dreams fulfilled, days and days and days well-lived and now a legacy to celebrate. May sweet memories of the gem that was your mother, Helen.   I am really sorry for your loss. I know . We will miss her also.

To Helen's Family:
So sorry to hear of Helens' passing. Though we had not seen her in some time, we will always remember her love of dogs and the spoiled squirrels.  She was a special lady and will be cherished in her new home just as she was by all of you.  Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.

Today we gathered to say goodbye to you, but its really not goodbye, I""m going to look at it as you went on a trip, one where you are not in any more pain and and no more confusion. I know you are with your mom and dad, Dad, and of course Aunt Jo, and my children. I know you will look after my children with the greatest of love, as you did here with the other grand children you had. Know you were the very best mother we could ever ask for and I will miss you terribly. I love you and I will look for you when its my turn at the gates!!

Helen was truly a god send to Coonie, AJ and myself. I never met a woman who loved children as much as Helen.  She took care of our son, her grandson AJ from the time he was 3 weeks old until he started school.  She thought him many things including how to be ornery, which we all know was one of her better traits. She was loving, caring and such a wonderful person. I don't think she ever met a dog she did not like and the squirrels that lived on Laurel street were never happier or fatter!  You will be missed by many Helen but the memories of you will live forever.  Now you are at rest and in peace and for that and for you we are thankful.  God bless you and love you. Buffy

Dear Harras children,  Please accept my sincerest sympathy on the loss of your mother, Helen.  I don't know if you remember me but your mom took care of my baby, Tony, in 1968-1970 when we lived on Cowan St.  She was the dearest, sweetest lady who took such loving care of my baby.  I learned so much from her, especially how to keep a beautiful house!  I will always remember her and all of you.
