

Hope Mackenzie Herman, 11, of Fort Collins, Colorado left this life on Friday, January 11th, 2008. She was born December 4, 1996 in Garden City, Kansas to Travis and Diane Herman.Hope had an amazing spirit and touched many lives during her short life on Earth. She loved soccer, dance, and music. She battled cancer for 19 months with an amazing grace, which she learned from her dad. She was an old soul, and focused her eyes on the Lord. She attended Resurrection Christian School and Timberline Church. She was a prayer warrior and loved her school. She loved her family and friends who cheered her on so faithfully in her battle.Hope was preceded in death by her dad, Travis Herman. They are enjoying an amazing reunion we can only imagine. Survivors include her mom, Diane Herman, her new dad, Justin Herman, her big brother Slate, 13, and little sister Isabelle Grace, 7, all of Fort Collins. Grandparents include Rick and Carmen Herman of Fort Collins, and Duane and Marylin Ramsey of Scott City, KS. Great Grandparents include Mrs. Robert (Aggie) Herman of Dighton, KS and Bob and Helen Leighton of Quinter, KS. She had aunts, uncles and cousins that will all miss her dearly. A celebration service will be held on Tuesday, January 15th at 11am at Timberline Church in Fort Collins.The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Hope M. Herman Memorial Fund which will be used for Hopeâ??s brother and sisterâ??s education, in care of Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S. Highway 287, Fort Collins, CO 80525.
