On May 26, 1990, Jarrad Austin Banks was born to Chuck and Karlotta Banks in Pasadena, California. Jarrad was what elderly people called, ""a good baby"". He didn't cry a lot and he wasn't a ""scrapper"", but little by little it became clear that he was destined to experience life to the fullest and those who would meet him would not forget him. He took his first steps at 9 months and at 18 months he rode horseback with his parents. By age 4 Jarrad was riding his Batman bike, in his Batman sweats and wearing his cowboy boots. By third grade, Jarrad was a new student at Hilltop Elementary in Beachwood, Ohio. If you know Jarrad, you know what his elementary school days were like . . . He went on to Beachwood High School where he ran track and played football. He was a volunteer veterinary aide at Warrensville Heights Animal Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. To everyone's delight, Jarrad graduated from John Muir High School in Pasadena, California in 2008.
Jarrad loved animals and he was a true cowboy! He loved horseback riding, bull riding, competitive swimming, football, baseball – and he enjoyed time spent at the Wild Life Rescue Center in Grover, Colorado.
The most important accomplishment in Jarrad's life was his on-going relationship with Jesus Christ. He joined the Fort Collins Potter's House Church where it is said (with humor) that Pastor Isaiah Trujillo was careful to hold him an extra minute in the baptismal water. He was proud to be a member of the Young Men's Disciple group.
On December 14, 2010, Jarrad and Gelsey Gonzales shared the joy of the birth of a son, Dominic. Jarrad loved his son with all his heart.
As the cattle graze and the wind blows gently across the range those who will lovingly think of Jarrad are: His dad, Chuck Banks (Tonya) and his Mom, Karlotta Binder(Harold Barte'); Gelsey Gonzales and Dominic; his sisters and brothers: Megan Harris, Marina Banks, Maya Banks, Thadious Fisher, Ramon Fisher, Jereeck Fisher, Phillip Banks, Steven Griffin, and Alex Binder . Grandparents: Barbara Banks, Vivian Carol Page, Lena Purdy, Harold and Mary Binder; Great-grandparent: Mary Brazzil; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
