John was one of my regulars at Domenic’s Italian Bistro and Wine Bar in Fort Collins. Over the four years working there, we grew a close friendship. John became a family member to me. We shared fond memories of sharing our love for food and walks in the park. I grew to view John as a grandfather figure. He was full of life and joy. I’ll miss the laughs we shared and his words of wisdom. Thank you for pushing me to continue my education and I hope you’re proud of the progress I’ve made. Thank you for all the beautiful memories, and I’ll look for you in every hawk I see. I hope you come visit me on my hikes and get to feel your presence again. Sending you the biggest hug up there. You’ll forever be in my heart John. 🤍 I love you dearly Grandpa John. 🤍

We are deeply saddened to learn about John's passing. John was a dedicated volunteer at the Gardens on Spring Creek where he contributed over 450 hours of time over the last ten years. 

Most of John's time was spent gardening in the Garden of Eatin', an acre garden dedicated to growing edible crops to be donated to the Food Bank for Larimer County. Alongside a group of volunteers title, the Eatin' Effort, they  grow over 6,000 pounds of donated produce each year.

We will miss John out in The Garden this season! Sending lots of love to all that had the honor of knowing him.
