Dear Family and Friends of John Edward Lynch, dwelling on his passing on April 13th of last year, I remember one of our family visits to Woodsfield, Ohio in 1954.  "Johnny" introduced my brother, "Billy" and me, "Bobby" to ................"ROCK 'N ROLL"!  Wow!! What is that?!  His new, portable 45RPM record player, blasted our ears with Bill Haley & His Comets' "Rock Around the Clock" and "Shake, Rattle and Roll" - the first "really big" (as Ed Sullivan would say) rock and roll records!  They topped the pop charts in both the US and UK that summer.  I'll never forget where we were standing in Johnny's house that day - he was 10, Billy 7, and I was 13 when I first heard "Rock 'n Roll".  We had great fun on that and so many other days!   And Johnny was school friends, too, with our other cousin, "Franky Schumacher" on Eastern Avenue!  It was a small world - and one I very much miss, thanks to my dear cousin and friend, John Lynch.

We are so sorry to hear of John's passing!  We love the Lynch family, and our hearts are with the family at this very sad time. 

John was such a good friend to us!  From all of the encouragement that he gave to our children, to the warm friendship that we shared as neighbors.  We wish all of the blessings of heaven for the Lynch family, and we are praying for you.  We hope that the peace of God will be with you.  We hope to be there for you in whatever needs you have.
