I met Jon in 1980, at Carmel house on the hill, in Boulder Colorado!!  Jon was the night manager at the time.  He loved the residents and his job and was so great just to be around. He loved to laugh heartily, climb Long's peak, party with folks at Carmel and that was probably just the beginning. Jon was loyal, friendly, caring, and all around a good and fine person. It was a privilege to share our hearts in the magical days of early Carmel.  Always in my heart and rest easy our friend. You are always with us.

I am so heartbroken by Jon's passing.  He introduced me to backpacking in the Canyonlands which I continued to do for many many years. Working with Jon was a pleasure, sharing our love for classical music and good books was inspiring.  He will be missed but memories of him will always be cherished. 

My heart is very saddened to hear about this.  Jon was a fun loving, good hearted man. He taught me how to ski and made the best hash browns ever. Sending much love to him and family. 💕

JD was one of the most Awesome Dudes you could ever meet. He was a terrific friend, a quirky and interesting person who never ceased to make me laugh or say "wow" when he related his stories about his many fascinating experiences.
He was one of the loveliest and liveliest persons I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. 
I will miss your candor and sweetness and shared memories.

Remembering Jon brings so many wonderful stories and moments of laughter. He was a truly caring and unforgettable soul. His taste in music and literature always amazed me. The last evening we shared with Jon was  New Years Eve 2020. I was nearing  7 months in my pregnancy and his green chili was the best ever that night!! 
You are a true guide Jon,  I will never forget how you were able to captivate a room with a story or a joke. Your cooking was amazing and I learned a thing or 2 every time we got together.
I'm so sorry to Jon's family and loved ones, it is sad to see someone leave early. Sending peace and love in this difficult time.

You were one of my trainers at Transfort back in the day. Thank you so much for always being so positive with your words and so patient. Later down the road you supported my small business by letting me redo your sod in the front yard of your Loveland home. I just found out this news today and you will be missed here on planet earth. See you on the other side Jon. Much peace to your family during this tough time. 

In 8th grade, Jon and I were in a play together for speech class.  This was at the old Lincoln Jr. High, and Mrs. Borden was the teacher. The play was a one-act comedy called "Fit to Be Tied," by Anne Coulter Martens. For part of the play, Jon and I were handcuffed together.  A very fun memory! My condolences to Jon's family.

After our wedding in 1975, we lost track of Jon.

He had been a groomsman in our wedding party.

The last I knew until a few weeks ago was that Jon had enrolled at the University of Colorado intending to attend medical school.

My brother Timothy met Jon several months ago while they were obtaining medical care at the same facility.

I had hoped to catch up with Jon but have been consumed with my own health issues and caring for my father.

Jon and I worked on his science fair projects together and attempted to scale Longs Peak.  He succeeded - I did not.

Thanks to Jon's brother, George, and George's friends, my sophomore year at Poudre High School was a breeze.  They paved the way for us to exist beyond just being sophomores.

My heart is saddened by Jon no longer being with us and my inability to have caught up with him.

May his soul be at peace as Mary Lou and I remember him in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so sad!!! I really thought you were going to live forever... I will forever remember all you did for me at work!!! You left too soon!!!

My condolences to Janet and family! I only knew him through Janet but she spoke of him often and how so very happy she was with him! She called him the love of her life! Prayers and hugs to the family and Janet for this great great loss! 

Jon was loved by our family.  Most of all by my sister, Peggy.  He was and always will be the love of her life.  Rest In Peace, Jon.  We will miss you very much.

Jon was one of the nicest guys I've ever met.  He was intelligent, compassionate, and had a great sense of humor.  I will always remember our time spent together at Transfort, swapping jokes and brainteasers while getting ready to tackle the day.  Jon really was one of the good ones, and he will be sorely missed.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Jon was the Man.  He worked diligently for the City of Fort Collins helping homeless and disabled manage transportation.  May the Lord bless him and take him home to all the blessings that he deserves.
