Joe was an UNC classmate and a friend of mine. He was always such a joy and had an infectious laugh that I will never forget. Joe was an amazing man and had a special way of cheering me up when I was down. He worked hard and dreamed big. It was a shock to hear the news of his passing and way too soon to leave the future he had ahead of him full of adventure and accomplishments. Joe will always be in heart, as well as in so many others. My condolences go out to his family and many friends.

Hipster Joe. Joey. JoJo. I can’t believe you’re gone. We met in college. Friends first, boyfriend later. We went through a lot together and I’m so sad we won’t be able to hear your laugh anymore. What a goof you were. Just thinking about some of the conversations you, Brandon, and I would have. You will be missed dearly, Joe.

Words can’t even express how amazing Joe was. In the few years I’ve known him, he’s made a huge impact on my life. He’s the most loving, kind hearted, and giving person I’ve ever met. I’m so thankful to have known him and thankful to have had many memories with him. I’ll for ever hold them close to my heart! I’m going to miss those memories like homemade pastas and movie nights. I’m truly glad I met joe! He’s greatly going to be missed.
