Joyce Forrest

Joyce was born on August 29, 1930 in Starville, Texas. They served together in ministry in Texas, Colorado, and California.

Jim and Joyce were active members of Vista Grande Baptist Church in Colorado Springs and then became members of Derby Hill Baptist Church in Loveland after they moved. Joyce was dedicated to her church, and loved music, singing, and spending time with her family. She inspired her family to be generous at heart, to open their doors to strangers in need, and always offer love and kindness to others. Joyce was a devoted wife, devout Christian, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved hugging everyone and holding hands with her soul mate and sweetheart, Jim.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Jim; daughter, Donna (Bob) Lewis, daughter Sherrye (Steve) Merriman, her son, Steven Forrest, seven grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. She is survived by her siblings Anna (Bill) Richardson, Bud Hewitt, Oscar (Louise) Hewitt, Helen (Mike) Egan; preceded by siblings Melba Hewitt, Marie Hewitt, BF Hewitt, Brian Hewitt.

Funeral services for Joyce will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Resthaven Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joyce’s life with her friends and family.
