Karen was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on January 12th, 1963, to Chester and Magdalan Wnuk.
She was known for her love for her family and her enjoyment of cooking and baking. Karen's kitchen was a testament to her love and hospitality for all. The only things ever spoiled in her kitchen were her grandchildren. Her love and bold spirit brightened the lives of all who knew her.
Devoted wife of John Scaffidi, loving mother of Peter and Thomas (Jessica), and proud Nana of Max and Mason. Daughter of Magdalan and Chester (deceased) Wnuk, sister of Greg (Cathi), Darryl (Roxanne), and Steven (deceased) Wnuk. Sister-in-law of James (Ileana) and Lynda Scaffidi, Aunt of Isaiah, Mia, Evan, Matthew, Michael, and Patti (deceased).
Karen is survived by many other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Resthaven Memory Gardens on 20 August 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The family invites all who knew her to attend and share their favorite memories.
In lieu of flowers, donations to charities such as Freedom Service Dogs of America or St. Jude’s are encouraged.
