Karl Gerald Hoff

He was a graduate of Poudre High School and Colorado State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was proud to have been on the Poudre High School football team that won the State Championship in 1969. The majority of his working career, as an Electrical Engineer, was at Woodward Governor Company where he met his wife, Cindy.

He also served as a volunteer for many years at Rocky Mountain Raptor Center. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. Both he and his wife were avid CSU football fans when they played at Hughes Stadium.

During his retirement he enjoyed taking over his father’s beef cattle operation, working along- side his brothers as proud suppliers of Bellvue Beef. Karl also enjoyed serving as President of the West Fort Collins Water District board of directors since 2009.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Cindy, their children Scott Beckman (Ginger Rubey), Stephanie BeDan (A.J.), Matthew Hoff (Laura), his brothers Charles Hoff (Sara) and Shawn Hoff (Pam), grandchildren; Jade Thornton, Samantha, Tatum and Tyler Bedan, Traijen, Skylar, Xander Hoff, great granddaughter Josie Futentes and loving nieces.

Those who knew Karl will remember him as kind, caring, intelligent, full of good humor and laughter and endlessly devoted to his loved ones and friends.

A celebration of his amazing life will be held at a future date.
