Linda was born on July 24, 1954, in Williston, North Dakota, to Herbert Eidsvoog and Kjellfrid (Nyberget) Eidsvoog. Raised on a farm in North Dakota, she experienced a joyful childhood caring for farm animals and kittens, lending a hand with farm chores, and making cherished lifelong memories with her family.
Linda graduated from Williston High School and later attended nursing school in Williston and Bismarck, proudly becoming a Registered Nurse. Nursing was more than a profession to Linda, it was a calling that reflected her compassion, dedication, and desire to care for others.
In 1975, Linda was married in Williston, North Dakota. Though later divorced, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to raising her daughter. Linda was the proud and loving mother to Jenifer Johnsrud. She later moved to Loveland, CO in 1983, and continued her nursing career at McKee Medical Center.
As a parent, Linda was adventurous and fun-loving, creating lasting memories through camping trips and vacations—especially to tropical destinations she adored. She was known as the life of the party, with an outgoing, outspoken personality and a generous spirit. Linda loved to travel, particularly to Jamaica, where she found great joy helping children in small villages learn English and how to read.
In her quieter moments, Linda enjoyed crafting, sewing, reading, and gardening. She had an incredible memory for dates and names and loved laughing and reminiscing about growing up in rural North Dakota, often earning the affectionate title of “family historian.”
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Jenifer Johnsrud, and her spouse, Robert Deuso. She is also survived by her sisters, Betty Logan and Carol Eidsvoog Spencer, and Carol’s husband, David Spencer, as well as many dear friends. Linda is lovingly remembered by her beloved dog, Lilac; her caregivers Megan, Alex, Cassie, Lisa, and Jeff; and her dear friend Nadine, all of whom brought comfort, companionship, and care into her life.
A Celebration of Linda's Life will be held at 1pm on Friday, January 16th, 2025 at Resthaven Funeral Home in Fort Collins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s honor to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), NoCo Humane Society, or the Arthritis Foundation.
Linda’s warmth, generosity, and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
