Linda Rae Volz, a resident of Windsor, Colorado, passed on October 5, 2026, at the age of 74. Linda was born on April 30, 1952, in Denver, Colorado, the only daughter of Vernette (Eng) and Francis Waugh. She grew up in Northern Colorado with her brother, David. The two siblings could often be found doing activities together. Both swam for the SCCA community swim team, both played cello and took French and both hunted pheasant with their father. Linda graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1970.
Linda started her career path as a member at the Hidden Valley Ski Patrol. Later she went on to be a secretary for a local church in both Sterling and then Rustic, Colorado. She was an EMT with Poudre Canyon Fire Department, a security guard at Rawhide Power Plant and then a Deputy Investigator with Larimer County Sheriff's Office. Linda went back to school and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from CU. She then worked at Denver General Hospital in Labor and Delivery. Linda retired as an investigator at DORA. But the job Linda enjoyed the most was being a mother to her three boys: Scott, Jason and Ehrich.
In her free time, Linda enjoyed reading, playing cards, antiques, crocheting blankets, spending time with her grandchildren, taking her dog Bandit on walks, and motorcycle trips with her husband, Clifford Volz.
Linda was preceded in passing by her parents. She is survived by her brother, David Waugh; her husband Clifford Volz; her son Scott Jungmeyer and his wife Jeni; her son Jason Jungmeyer; her son Ehrich Weis and his wife Amanda; her step-daughter Rachel Volz and her husband Tom; her step-daughter Lana Volz; and her grandchildren, Keagan, Conlan, Adalie, Emmitt and Ariana.
