Lucas Michael Arroyo, 53, of Fort Collins, passed away Monday, March 4th, 2024. Born in Boulder, he was the son of the late Patrick Arroyo and Diana Fernandez. He graduated from Boulder High in 1989 and attended Colorado State University from the years 1989-1994. While at CSU, he met and married Mary Coolen on August 24th, 1996. On October 1st, 1997, he became a father to a pair of twin girls, Madison and Micaela Arroyo.
Lucas loved to live large, he was a jack of all trades, from food service and owning a bakery, to working in IT services and sales, his favorite role was being a family man. Familia meant everything to him, and he always made sure his family felt loved by him. He had a heart of gold, and always sent you home with full bellies and fuller hearts, (and some leftovers). His favorite hobbies included frisbee golf. dancing, cooking, reading comic books, and watching really cheesy movies and shows with his favorite people. He had a healing energy and was always there for anyone who needed to “grab some earth” as he would say. He was a big fan of garage sales, and finding things and making them feel loved again. He was an amazing soul, is loved, and will be missed dearly by many.
Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Mary Coolen-Arroyo; children Madison (Jon) Arroyo of TX, Micaela (Kieran) Grant of CO; sisters Candy (Deward) Walker of CO, Linda (Don) Holmstrom of CO; brother Patrick (Jeannie) Arroyo of CO; 6 nieces and nephews; and his beloved cats Jackson and Koda. A celebration of life will be held from 2:00-5:00pm. Sunday, March 10th, 2024, at Coopersmith’s Pub & Brewing. 5 Old Town Square, Fort Collins, CO, 80524.
