Invincible. This is such an eye opener. We felt our parents were invincible, that they would be here for life. What an impact our parents had on us and how much our parents mean to us. Mom always pulled at our heart strings. It’s going to be so hard to be without our mother. We weren’t ready to let her go. We were hoping she had more years with us, but we also knew she was missing dad. She was lonely without her “viejo”, and after being together for 65 years, it’s hard to be without one another. We find great comfort that they are both together now. Mom told us that Dad is waiting for her, and that they would still be watching and taking care of us, together. As family members visit together, we listen to their encouraging words. We hold on to every word of advice: “When one life goes, another one begins”, and “Mom was the last of her generation, with new generations to come.”
