

Marian was born in Nebraska, on September 11, 1934. She grew up and attended school in Sidney, Nebraska. She married her high school sweetheart, Raymond Sunderman, on November 4, 1951. Marian and Ray moved to Big Spring, Texas, where Marian’s husband, Ray served in the United States Air Force.
Marian spent the majority of the rest of her life in Fort Morgan, Colorado, where she lived with her family.
Marian worked for many years as a bookkeeper for M & H Auto and also for Great Western Sugar company. She was also very active working with her husband on their family farm in Eastern Colorado. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Morgan, including teaching Sunday School and Bible School. She had a special passion for playing and teaching bridge, and attained Life Master Status. She loved travel and was able to visit all 50 states and 35 countries. She loved making ceramics.
Marian was a loving and devoted wife. She was an outstanding mother to her two children. She lived her entire life demonstrating the greatest in honor, integrity, family values, and Christian values. Marian was a shining example of love, caring, and giving to all who knew her.
Marian was preceded in death by her father, John Walter Sherwood, her mother, Helen (Lamb) Sherwood, her brother, Don Sherwood, and her sister, Marge (Sherwood) Karr. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Sunderman) Montross and her husband Kim Montross, her son, Steven Sunderman and his wife Carolyn Hess, her grandchildren, Lara (Montross) Dreiling and her husband Jeremy Dreiling, Bryan Montross and his wife Josie Cullina, Josh Sunderman, Amy (Sunderman) Langdale-Smith and her husband Nick Langdale-Smith, Brandon Hess and his wife Vanesa Hess, Easton Hess and his wife Kira Hess, and her great-grandchildren, Jake, Abby, and Olivia Dreiling, Andrew and Jackson Cullina, Emily Montross, Kaia Sunderman, Conor and Eliana Langdale-Smith, and Cali, Ryker, and Linden Hess.
Throughout her entire life, Marian Sunderman has been a loving friend, a devoted family member, and a dedicated child of God. She will be greatly missed here on Earth. She is now in Heaven with her dear husband and with her Heavenly Father.
A viewing for Marian will be held Monday, January 20, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1215 W 7th Avenue, Fort Morgan, CO 80701. A funeral service with reception to follow will occur Monday, January 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM, 1215 W 7th Avenue, Fort Morgan, CO 80701. An interment will occur Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Riverside Cemetery, 601 W 8th Avenue, Fort Morgan, CO.
