Michael Geoffrey Pay

Born in England, Mike studied veterinary medicine at the Royal Veterinary College in London and earned a Fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. His career began in a large-animal practice in Yorkshire. He later specialized in pigs and established his own animal nutrition company.

In 1989, Mike and Rona moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, where he continued his entrepreneurial journey, founding a veterinary pharmaceutical company that operated for approximately 20 years. Mike was creative, resilient, innovative, and never afraid to embrace change or take a risk.

Mike married Rona in 1964, and they shared 62 years of marriage. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and adventure, raising three daughters, Katrina, Heather, and Rachel, and enjoying the blessing of six grandchildren (Emma and Ben, Callum and Summer, Harry and Emily).

Mike shared a love of travel and the outdoors with Rona. He especially enjoyed hiking in the Highlands of Scotland and England's Lake District. Their adventurous spirit took them around the world, visiting more than 60 countries, including New Zealand and Antarctica.

Faith in God was at the very center of Mike's life. He worshipped with Rona at the Vineyard Church in Fort Collins for more than 30 years. Mike also participated in mission trips throughout Europe and Jordan and developed a special connection with Sri Lanka, traveling there annually for approximately ten years to encourage and support young churches.

Mike was known for his generous heart. He gave freely and often to missions overseas and to people in his local community, frequently choosing to give anonymously.

In his later years, Mike returned to his love of animals and the land, raising Angus cattle for nearly 20 years.

Above all his accomplishments and adventures, what mattered most to Mike was his faith in God and His Son, Jesus Christ. He loved seeing the Holy Spirit active and moving in his own life and in the lives of others.

Mike leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, adventure and generosity.
