Mona Genevieve Mitchell

Ramona Joyce Parker, 89, of Fort Collins passed away Friday, March 23, 2018. Ramona was born in St. Joseph, Missouri to Beryl and Irilla Calkins. She married Eugene Parker on August 6, 1950. A few years later they moved to Colorado to raise a family. She started her career as a teacher in a one room schoolhouse in Iowa and then continued teaching in Wellington, CO.

Her greatest role was homemaker. Ramona loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was a talented cook, seamstress and gardener. She belonged to numerous organizations including Pioneer Club, TOPS, the Larimer County Extension Club, and water aerobics. She was active in her church, Dayspring Christian Church.

Ramona is preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her children, Marcia (George) Huner, and Denney (Dorrie) Parker. She has 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Friday, March 30 at Allnutt Funeral Service, 650 W. Drake Road Fort Collins, starting at 10 am, with an hour of visitation time beforehand.
