Nadine Ann Burkhart, 73, passed away on April 3, 2026. Nadine was born on July 29, 1952, in Loveland, Colorado, to Reuben Walter and Hannah (Miller) Walter. She was a resident of Fort Collins, Colorado.
Nadine devoted her working life to steady service and responsibility, first as an elementary teacher in Wyoming and later as a store manager at Jax's Farm and Ranch. In each role, she brought care, reliability, and a quiet dedication to the people and communities she served.
Nadine was married to Gary Burkhart. Above all else, her boys were her everything, and she held her family at the center of her life. She also found joy in simple, lasting pleasures—boating and fishing, and the warmth and tradition of Christmas.
In 2008, Nadine suffered a stroke that left her disabled until her passing. Even through the long years that followed, she remained a beloved presence to those closest to her, remembered with deep respect and enduring love.
Nadine was preceded in death by her sister, Sue Walter, her nephew, Jake Walter, her parents, her sisters; Hannah Elaine Burnhart and Joyce Allen, and her nephews; Jacob Walter, Michael Hart, and Tim Hart. She is survived by her husband, Gary; her sons, Matthew and Daniel; her brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Marilyn Walter; her nieces, Natalie Hopkin and Sandy Henderson; her cousin and best friend, Julie Schrader; and her cousins, Ralph Tedman, Steve Tedman, and Liddy Helen Tatman.
