On Friday night, September 25, 2026, at 7:41 p.m., our sweet and deeply loved Gramma Jo, Norma Jo Robinson, of Fort Collins, Colorado was welcomed with loving arms into a place she spent her whole life dreaming of and sharing with others: Heaven. Although the sadness of losing such a bright light in our lives hurts tremendously, we rejoice in knowing that she is finally Home with our Lord and reunited with her one and only, Chuck.
Jo was born in Akron, Ohio, to Cam and Ethel Willis. As the very youngest in her family, many of Jo’s childhood memories included growing up alongside her nieces and nephews. She spoke fondly of being the only girl playing baseball, working at the soda fountain, and walking to the movies.
Jo’s life changed forever when she met Charles “Chuck” Lynn Robinson. After just two weeks of dating, the two were married and went on to share 60 beautiful years of marriage. Their love remained one of the great constants of Jo’s life, and we take tremendous comfort in knowing that after years apart, Jo and Chuck are together again.
Jo and Chuck traveled across the country with their three children for Chuck’s work, rarely staying in one place for longer than a year. No matter the city or the house, Jo had a gift for turning it into a home. Her memory for dates, places, and events was impeccable, and she loved reminiscing about the many cities they lived in and the adventures they shared while traveling the country together.
Family was of the utmost importance to Jo, and some of her happiest moments were spent surrounded by the people she cherished. Weekly family dinners were among her favorites. She loved holidays, specifically Christmas, gatherings, and special occasions, always adding thoughtful little touches that made people feel loved.
Jo also loved quilting, the mountains, and was always up for adventure. She and Chuck often packed a picnic and escaped to the mountains to sit beside the river together. She loved road trips, exploring new places, and seeing the beauty of the country she had spent so much of her life traveling.
Her faith was at the center of her life. Jo was deeply involved in her church and lived her faith through the way she cared for others. She was often the first to volunteer or lend a hand to someone in need. She spent countless hours volunteering at the hospital and Christ Clinic and giving her time wherever she felt she could make a difference.
More than anything, Jo had a remarkable way of making people feel loved and special. She took the time to know people, remember the details of their lives, celebrate them, and care for them. She loved deeply and generously, and she continued doing so until her very last day.
Jo is survived by her children, Kim Allred (Jed) of Huntington, Utah, and Mark Robinson of Ocala, Florida; daughter-in-law Debbie Robinson of Fort Collins, Colorado; grandchildren Aubrie Newendyke of Windsor, Colorado; Caitlin (Jordan) Stouffer; Richie Allred, Mindy (Bob) Nelson, and Kristen Allred, all of Huntington, Utah; and Ashlee Allred of Salt Lake City, Utah; as well as her many beloved great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Jo was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chuck Robinson; her daughter, Lori Young; her grandson, Ryan Allred; and her great-grandchildren, Payten, Baylan, and Bosten.
Her family will miss her more than words can express, but there is peace in imagining the reunion she waited so long for, Jo and Chuck together again, in the arms of Jesus. Home at last.
