Norma Elaine Thompson, 84, of Loveland passed away on September 23, 2008. Norma was born on May 3, 1924 in Omaha, NE to George and Nellie Mae (Dunnigan) Noxon. She graduated from high school in Fort Morgan, CO. Norma married Howard Thompson in 1948 in Fort Morgan and has lived in Loveland since 1964. She is a former resident of Kimball, NE.Norma was a cashier at the West Safeway for thirteen years. She enjoyed fishing, shopping and traveling. Her family was very important to her.She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Howard. Norma is survived by her son Gary (LeAnn) Thompson of Berthoud, CO; daughters Vicki (Michael) Nutter of Centennial, CO and Joan (Ron) Herdt of Walkersville, MD; grandchildren Angela Vonfeldt, Justin Lorenzen, Tobi Scarbrough, Kaylyn Waller, Amber Johnson, Tim Herdt, Darren Nutter and Kyle Herdt; great-grandchildren Jonathan, Brittany, Allison, Kenna, Owen and Trista.A visitation will be held on Monday, September 29 from 9:00am to 11:00am with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00pm at the Resthaven Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
