Born in Albany, New York, Pauline was proud to have spent forty years working as a nurse. She earned her nursing degree from Maria College while raising four children, and then completed a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Russell Sage College in Troy, New York. She was known for her strong work ethic and her commitment to her profession and continued education.
Throughout her life, Pauline lived in several states, including New York, Michigan, Hawaii, Florida, and California. She traveled to Europe many times, but Hawaii remained her favorite location. She lived on Oahu with her three older children in the late 1960s and later visited there with all four children, including a trip with her parents, Harold and Theresa Harter, in 1988. In her later years, she resided in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, near her son James and daughter-in-law Tina, where she enjoyed socializing. James was especially caring and spoke with her every day.
Pauline was predeceased by her husband, Vincent Campanella; her second husband, Robert Lee Harder; her son, Matthew Lee Harder; and her brother, Raymond Harter.
She is survived by her sons, Rick (Laura Madison) and James Campanella (Tina Mirabile); her daughter, Michele Lesko; and her grandchildren: Calvin (Jordan Pesci), Jackson (Natalie Mulford), and Carter Lesko; Damian and James Campanella; and Natasha Bailey and Theodore Eder; and her great-grandchildren, Greyson, Madeleine, and Asher Lesko.
