Renata Maria Campbell

Renata Maria Campbell passed away on October 13th, 2023 at the age of 76. She was born in Nuremberg, Germany on February 1st, 1947. She first came to America at the age of 16 and eventually made America her home. She soon married Richard Sheppard and raised a family in the California's San Fernando Valley, before moving to Thousand Oaks, CA. It was in California she began a lifelong passion of friendships, the outdoors and riding bikes. In 1985, she became a naturalized citizen of the United States, an accomplishment she was honored to have earned.

She eventually made her way to Colorado in 1993 and made the Mountains of Colorado her home. She moved to Glacier View Meadows and married Duane Campbell. They both fell in love with their Colorado mountain home and were blessed with incredible friends, experiences and family.

While in Colorado, she continued to participate in long distance bicycle rides such as dozens of centuries, the Bicycle Ride across Iowa and the very challenging Ride of the Rockies. Not being one to rest, Renata resumed her love of painting, hiking, gardening and of course, time with her many friends.

She possessed an enduring optimism which helped her find success and joy in life, love and her many hobbies and activities.

Renata is survived by her daughter Michele Evans, son Anthony Sheppard, Scott and Leslie Campbell, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great grandson to come. She loved her family and has left many wonderful memories that will be cherished forever.

In addition to her children and grandchildren, Renata has a younger brother Wolfgang and an older sister Heidi, both of whom live in Germany with their families.
