He was born August 4, 1955 in Fort Collins, CO, the son of Keith S. and Dorothy L. Hobbs. Rick graduated from Poudre High School class of 1973. Following graduation, he attended CSU where he received his BS degree in Business Marketing 1977.
After graduation he married Pamela S. Tieszen. They would have celebrated 40 years of marriage this May. His career spanned over 41 years in the construction business, starting as a laborer and working his way up to general manager and vice president for several companies. He also was an Associate Professor at CSU instructing graduate students in Construction Management. The last five years he ran his own consulting firm.
Rick loved traveling the world with his family. His hobbies included fishing, riding the Ride of the Rockies multiple times and attending his son’s sporting events. He was an avid reader.
Rick is survived by his wife, Pamela S. Hobbs, and son, Zachary R. Hobbs and brother, Stanley L. Hobbs. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A service of remembrance will be held at 10am, Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Allnutt Funeral Chapel, 650 W. Drake Road, Fort Collins, CO.
