He grew up in Loveland, CO and graduated from Loveland High School in 1963. Robert proudly served his country as a Specialist in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict. He served as an Armed Guard for the Military Police, was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and was honorably discharged in 1967. Robert worked for one company his entire working life: Loveland Ready Mix Concrete. He started with summers during high school and, other than the time he spent in the military, worked until he retired in December of 2010.
Robert married Roxie Mogler in June of 1998, and they officially blended their families. Robert loved to be outdoors with Roxie, his kids and grandkids. Together they enjoyed fishing, hunting, skiing (both water and snow), camping, boating, hiking, riding horses, and traveling. Robert also loved working in the garden/yard and pretty much anything, as long as it was outside. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan who loved to talk football, coaches, players, playoffs, and Super Bowls.
Robert is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Doug Pearce, Melynda and Brent McVeigh; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Tracey and Rick Thomas; stepdaughter and son-in-law Dawn and Joe Tarbox; stepson and daughter-in-law David and Lois Mogler; grandchildren Brandon Pearce (fiancé Lindsey); Trenton and Sabrina Hodges; Ryan and Krystina Baisley; Josh Mogler; Jeremy Mogler; Joey Mogler; Ashley and Ryan King; Audra and Tony Vanderhoff; Heath Tarbox; and 11 great-grandchildren. And who can forget his beloved dog, Lacy. A special mention and thank you to Vern and Laura Bahlmann, Robert’s neighbors and close friends. Robert and his family are forever grateful for you.
Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife Roxie, his brother Orin, his sister Beverly, father Earl, and mother Lorraine.
