Rose Ann was born January 22, 1949, to Harold and Margaret Klausner. She grew up as part of a large family on a wheat farm, an upbringing she remembered fondly throughout her life. With six brothers and two sisters, family was an important part of Rose Ann's life from the very beginning.
She graduated from Weld Central High School in Colorado. Rose Ann was a homemaker and also worked as a teacher's aide.
Rose Ann was married to Leon Erker for 24 years. Together they raised their three children, Brad, Carrie, and Joey, on a wheat farm south of Wiggins. She later made her home in Brush, Colorado, and eventually Libby Bortz Assisted Living Center, in Littleton, where she spent the last eleven years of her life.
Rose Ann had a tender heart and a gentle soul. She was kind-hearted, talkative, and outgoing, and she had great compassion for others. She especially hated to see people or animals suffer and was deeply affected when someone—or something—was hurting.
She enjoyed gardening and reading and had a particular love for Western books and television shows. More than anything, however, Rose Ann loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She delighted in doing little things for the people she loved. Her grandchildren could always count on Grandma having a small gift for them whenever she saw them—a simple gesture that reflected the pleasure she found in making them happy.
Rose Ann was especially close to her sisters, Teresa and Janelle, and those relationships remained very important to her throughout her life. Her Catholic faith was also an important part of her life.
Rose Ann is survived by her three children, Brad Erker, Carrie (Tom) Hoffman, and Joey (Chad) Spearman; her grandchildren, Zach and Jacob Hoffman, Emberly and Lane Spearman, and Van and Reid Erker. She is also survived by her sisters, brothers, and many other relatives and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Margaret Klausner. Above all, she will be remembered for the love she had for her family and the memories they made with her will remain a treasured part of her legacy.
Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 38044 Co Rd 16, Roggen, CO 80652, US, on August 31, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Rosary from 10:20 am to 11:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am, with a Graveside Service to follow at Heart of the Plains Cemetery at 12:30 pm.
