Shane Lloyd, 50, of Ft. Collins passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023, along with his son, Jakob Alan Lloyd. Born in Houston, TX, he was a son of Bryan "Cricket" Lloyd and Shirley Dickens. Shane graduated from Bayfield High School in 1991, Colorado State University with a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1996, and an MS in Electrical Engineering in 1998. While at CSU he met and married Sydney (Tedrick).
Shane was a devoted son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a lifelong athlete and scholar, avid outdoorsman and hunter, and mentor to many, especially his numerous nieces and nephews. In fact, it is unknown how many he helped and in what ways. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and attended and supported all of his boys' various activities. He connected with his children by helping them practice their various sports and lifting weights. Shane spent his career as an electrical engineer in both Texas and Colorado, most recently with Advanced Energy.
Shane is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sydney; two children, Ben, a 2020 graduate of Fossil Ridge High School and current student at Montana State University, and Owen, a student at Timnath Middle-High School. His mother, Shirley, and her husband, Lonnie Dickens; father, Bryan “Cricket” Lloyd and his fiancée Tina Ferguson; siblings Kelly, Shandy, and Jamie Gregory, Shannon Lloyd Brown, and Brandy Lloyd; step-siblings Cody and Stephen Stowe and Shannon Marie Wilkins; 19 nieces and nephews; 6 great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Joshua, and his brother, Jeremy Gregory.
A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 18th at 1:00pm at Faith Church in Fort Collins.
