She is reunited with the love of her life and husband of 58 years, Robert "Bob" Fulton, after his passing in 2023. A woman of deep faith and boundless warmth, Sharon touched countless lives through her music, teaching, and unwavering dedication to others.
Sharon was born in Kansas City, Kansas on January 19, 1943 to parents Margaret and William "Bill" Moore. While attending Pittsburg State University (Kansas) she met and fell in love with Bob. Soul mates from the very beginning of their courtship, they were married on May 29, 1965. Together, they had three children, Robert "Rob", Melanie, and Carnie.
A passionate educator, Sharon taught in many capacities in the Poudre School District from substitute teaching to tutoring English as a Second Language. She was especially devoted to her role as a Sunday school teacher and leader of the children’s program at her church.
Sharon’s love for music was also a lifelong gift she shared generously. She played piano and organ at church for many years, lifting congregations with melody and spirit. Her voice, too, was a blessing—she sang in numerous choirs and vocal groups throughout her life, including the Larimer Chorale, always bringing harmony and heart to every performance.
Sharon’s love of the outdoors was something she joyfully shared with friends and family. She cherished time spent in Pingree Park and Red Feather Lakes, where she and her family and close group of friends would fish, hike, and join in fellowship. She was also a devoted supporter of Bob’s many athletic pursuits and their grandchildren, cheering them on at competitions and celebrating their achievements with pride.
Family road trips throughout the western U.S. and its national parks were among Sharon’s favorite adventures. She and Bob also enjoyed traveling overseas on multiple occasions during retirement where they explored Italy, Spain, Portugal, as well as a cruise down the Rhine River.
Above all, Sharon was a beautiful soul—attentive to the needs of everyone around her, always striving to serve others, and offering unwavering support as a mother and friend. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, boundless heart, and quiet strength.
She will be deeply missed but her memory will live on in all those that knew and loved her. Sharon is survived by her children Rob Fulton (Allyson) of Pennsylvania, Melanie Fronapfel (Eric), and Carnie Fulton (Sarah); and her much-loved grandchildren Zachary (Christine), Alec, and Keenan Fronapfel of Colorado, and Austin and Addison Fulton of Pennsylvania.
A Celebration of Sharon's Life will be held Saturday, June 21st, 2025 at 10am at First United Methodist Church in Fort Collins. Please join Sharon's family, following her service, for a light reception and a time of fellowship and remembrance.
